About the Cake is a custom cake bakery in Avon, Ohio. We've been creating unique and unusual designs for over 10 years. From the sophisticated elegance of a wedding cake to the funky or crazy, we create cakes for just about every occasion.
About the Cake's owner, Becky Rink, has competed on nationally televised programs such as We TV's Wedding Cake Wars and TLC's Ultimate Cake Off and premiering October 2, 2011 at 9pm, Becky will be seen on Halloween Wars on the Food Network, making her the only baker in Cleveland to be on all three major networks!
Becky Rink, owner, is an award winning decorator and author of "The Top Shelf Baker - Sweet Treats From a Well Stocked Bar". Becky has spent the last 10 years honing her craft and expanding on her skills. She is the baker, the decorator, the delivery person, cleanup crew, customer service, website designer and instructor.
"I am not a classically trained pastry chef. I am not a student of art, nor do I have a background in art. I am a baker. I am a cake decorator. I am a sugar artist. I see cake in everything!"
Jeff Rink, Partner, creates all the wonderful supports for our sculpted cakes. He is also the fill in delivery guy and customer service helper.
